IPT coaches and managers appointed early to facilitate intense training programme
We are pleased to announce that we have appointed the coaches and managers for the IPT to be held in Port Elizabeth this December. This has been done earlier than usual for two reasons. Firstly, we want to ensure that the various age-group trials are carefully planned and smoothly run. Secondly, we’ve decided to give our coaches and managers a unique training programme to help them take our teams, some of which are already the strongest in the country, to an even higher performance level.
To kick off the training, this talented group of 30 will attend a workshop with Paddy Upton – world-renowned high performance and leadership coach. Paddy will focus on the psychology behind coaching successfully, something which he has done for our national cricket side, WP Rugby and many other significant teams throughout his career.
To complement the mental conditioning, our coaches and managers will then be taken through their own high performance coaching programme, specifically tailored for this unique group of athletes and mentors by the Sports Science Institute of South Africa.
