The annual Knockout tournament, which normally takes place in the first term and was postponed due to the drought, will be held in the fourth term of 2018. Due to the limited time available, it has been decided that the format of the tournament will be as follows:
Boys
u13s, u14s and u15s – qualification for the semi-finals will be based on the positions of the schools in the national tournaments that take place in the 3rd and 4th terms, i.e. SACS Junior tournament for u13s, Rondebosch tournament for u14s and Ian Melliar Cup for u15s.
u19s – As there is no local tournament that includes all the Cape schools, the “qualifying round” games will be held over the weekend of 13/14 October, with the top 4 schools going through to semi-finals. Venue to be announced later.
Girls
As there are no local tournaments that include all affiliated schools, the “qualifying round” games for all the age groups will be held over the weekend of 12/13/14 October (one venue per age group), with the top 4 schools in each age group going through to semi-finals. Venues to be announced later.
