Our SA U17 boys have most definitely done us proud this weekend after going undefeated in Brno, and taking the GOLD!!
The tournament started off with a bang, as our boys took down Wales 13-1 and Lithuania 17-6 on the first day. Day two saw us first with a tighter game against Switzerland, which the boys took 13-10 followed by a 12-6 win over the Czech Republic!
The last match, against England was the big one, as both teams walked into the game undefeated. In this event, there were no playoffs or finals – the team with the most points would win the overall gold! The game was extremely tight, but when the final whistle went, it was our SA side who were celebrating the 8-6 score line!
Congratulations to all of the players and coaches, especially to our WP players who did us proud!
After an intense weekend for the boys, our girls are just a few days away from kicking off their tournament in Prague! As the defending champions, it won’t be an easy event but we know that they can pull it off, and bring home that gold once again!
