Western Province Schools Water Polo (WPSWP) has deferred its annual Knock-out League Competitions – involving boys and girls in U13, U14, U15, U16 and U19 age groups – until the fourth term in light of the region’s drought conditions. This includes all weekly fixture games and the semi-finals and finals, usually held in March.
WPSWP is investigating alternative venues that do not impact on the City’s potable water sources to host friendly competitions.
Several Cape Town schools are involved in tournaments in other centres, their preparations will be up to the individual school to formulate in accordance with their own resources.
