In a first for a provincial schools’ water polo association in South Africa, Western Province will be sending an U14 girls’ team to participate in the 2018 Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival in Auckland New Zealand from 13 to 16 July.
This age group were gold medal winners in the annual Inter-Provincial Tournament in December 2017, and it was deemed appropriate that they were good enough to test themselves in the largest water polo event in the southern hemisphere.
